Kind of rough and snowy to get there and it was cold. The rangers patrol so that kind of sucks.

Easy access from road. Bring adventure pass! Tables with benches. Toilet. No water. Large campground.

Beautiful campground. Access road is pretty close to immaculate; however, the last bit of the trail may be hard without a 4x4 vehicle with good clearance. Signs stated "no fires allowed" but there were fire pits everywhere, which had labels stating "no fires". You'll need a permit to stay there, too. Not much to do, other than hiking, relaxing, and deflating from City Life.

You have to drive for five miles on dirt to get here. The road is rough. Low-clearance vehicles may scrape rocks and sustain damage. There is no water. The restroom is just a pit toilet, and angry buzzing wasps live down inside the pit. Disturb them at your own risk! To make matters worse, the campground is covered with aggressive red fire ants that will tear you and your children apart! There is really nothing to do here, and it's too hot to enjoy during the day. If you do camp here, you must pay $30 for an adventure pass ahead of time, but there are many less expensive places to camp with better facilities. Choose wisely!

Beautiful. Definitely want 4x4 or big tires for the last bit of the trail. Vault toilet was open and had t/p. Fire rings, pick-nick bench’s, and trash can.
