Located 6 miles north of Blythe, CA and 25 miles west of Quartzite, AZ.
From I-10, Exit at Intake Boulevard and turn north. Drive 3.5 miles to Sixth Avenue and turn right (east) onto Sixth Avenue. Drive 2.5 miles. The road makes a natural left (turns into Colorado River Road). Stay on this road 1/2 mile. Road ends inside Mayflower park. From the north traveling south on California Highway 95, turn left on Sixth Avenue (this will be the 3rd cross road after entering the PaloVerde Valley). Turn east onto Sixth Avenue. Drive 2.5 miles. The road makes a natural left (turns into Colorado River Road). Stay on this road 1/2 mile. Road ends inside Mayflower Park.
really great spot. Large trees for shade, decent management. It was extremely hot there but it was a really nice place to camp
There is a wonderful little path that leads to a lightly hidden beach. The shower areas are kept clean and the park is spread out very well. I would really recommend this spot to anyone who wants to swim in the Colorado river. It's very close to the Blythe so if you're in the area to see that this is a good spot to spend the night. 10/10 I would highly recommend.
This was a great place to stay during our trip to Yuma, AZ. It was one of the cheaper places to stay along our drive. We ended up paying 35$ to dry camp near the water. Each spot was shaded by trees and had grass. The Colorado River was close by with easy access to get in and out. There is a trail down to a small beach for our dog to play. He didn't want to leave! The staff was very friendly and our dog enjoyed the doggy biscuits upon our arrival. The only reason I marked the review down a star is because the showers looked to be growing mold inside them and there were spiders everywhere! The shower head nozzle doesn't adjust so although the water is warm by the time the water sprays on you it is so cold! Overall we had a great time here and would come back again if we were ever passing through.
