It was a great place to camp with kids and pets. Other than the rain we had great fun with friends and family.

This campground is one of the top 3 along the Scenic Byway between Wise River & Polaris, MT. The road & sites are paved. There is 3 nice pull thru sites that will accommodate larger 5th-Wheel ToyHaulers/RV's & several small/medium sites. This place is fairly well kept. Decent sized fire rings, nice picnic tables & the newer style outhouses. An abundance of trees provide excellent shade on those hot days & to be quite honest I think they absorb some of the noise as well. Fishing can be done in The Wise River which flows along the western border of the campground. There is also a hand pump for fresh water. The cost was $8 per night last time I stayed. Fairly easy to find an open spot on weekdays, but you best show up early on weekends (especially holiday weekends). Thanks !!

Nice, clean, quiet campground right along the river. The microclimate here is cooler and wetter then you would expect for this area of Montana. Much more reminiscent of the eastern slope of the Cascades.

The green is a great break from the hot, dry, tan of late summer Montana. Well worth the couple of hour drive for us. Will definitely be back here and also to explore the other half dozen campgrounds in the area.
