Best camping experience we've had in a couple of years! Very clean campground. Our neighbors were kind, quiet (even their dogs!) And respectful. Even the louder people at the other end of the campground were quiet during quiet hours. Almost everyone obeyed the leash law. Camp host Tim was wonderful!! He is Very kind, generous, diplomatic, informative and goes the extra mile for the campers. We'll be back!!
Caterpillars killing all the trees, reservoir down several feet, smoke filled the air and the camp hosts do not clean anything, bathrooms were disgusting, camp sites were completely filthy from previous tenants.
Just spent an amazing evening the
Sleep great beside the creek in my hammock.
Great retreat away from the hustle of the city.
Officers close by as well as a camp host.
Fish on.
We took my truck with a trailer and my wife’s car up to the campgrounds. I did want to get my trailer into an area that might be difficult to back out of so I parked in an open spot while I took my wife’s car to look for an area we wanted to stay. I came back to a nasty attitude ranger who charged me $10 for parking for 15 minute. Also found out from speaking to other campers she liked to kick dogs. Won’t go back.
I absolutely love Sage Hen, it's so beautiful and peaceful there. Some sites offer a good amount of shade and some are in the sun. I stayed in site 15 and it was perfect. Had a good amount of shade the entire day and easy to get in and out of. It would be best for a tent camper or someone with a small rv as the driveway isn't flat the whole way. Where the driveway changes color is where the grade happens. The darker part is slanted slightly uphill and the lighter part is straight and level. I motocamped here and there was a good level spot for my tent and plenty of room to park the bike. The restrooms were clean and well stocked with toilet paper. The water spiket was right across the road from my site making it very easy to get water to my site. I'll definitely be going back agian.
