Even though this campground is right on the road, it's pretty quiet. Not much traffic on the road and the river drowns out most road noise. Others mentioned snakes but I didn't see any in mid-June. There are mosquitoes, though. There's no privacy from other campers and little shade but it's nice to have access to the river.
It also seems to be a weekend destination party place for local young adults.
Five bucks for the night - peaceful, facing on to a creek where you can see crayfish hatching. Beautiful location. There are rattlesnakes by the river, but they'll leave you alone if you don't go out of your way to bother them (and that's what being in the wild is all about!)
Amazing camp site, but small and fills up fast on Fridays. Great water access, and great activities near by.
Sweet little BLM campground, right next to the river. There is an outhouse but no potable water. Probably about 6 first come sites available. I highly recommend a night there.
