Wonderful campground just off the trail, nestled among tall trees without a lot of dense underbrush. Plenty of space to camp and have your own area, and as others mention, excellent access to the river.
Surprisingly sanitary privy, excellent access to water in the river following immediately next to camp, and wonderful seclusion. Receives partial sunlight through dense trees from morning to afternoon. Snow was almost gone by late April in 2021.
Allowed to have open fire, water access with the nearby Dosewallips River. Bear wire up. The water is a very nice glacier blue due to deep pool in the cascades Their is a decent privy in camp. Multiple campsites ranging is size. Group campsite available. Stayed a night.
