We’ve been coming to “Big Timber Lake” for years and it’s always been a family favorite. From the safety gate to the park, to the ice cream shop, and most of all the staff. Pop The staff here always goes above and beyond to make your own stay memorable. Scott happened to notice we needed assistance with our camper and rose to the occasion to help my husband in a bind—we truly appreciate it.

Absolutely the best camping place in the Cape. Great people sites ate great size and easy to back even 33’ tow behind. Staff is the BEST! Food at the camp cafe is pedestrian and a but too expensive. However they do have food trucks that come in, and if you eant AWESOME donuts RSK dinut food truck is the best! I just heard they will be seasonal next year, so sad. We have been coming here for over 20 years and we cant afford a seasonal site. We just might give up

Camping as we wont find any olace loke this

Price to camp here has skyrocketed!! Outrageous what they charge and we have been going here for over 20+ years. They hike the prices up even more closer to a holiday, than if you were to book way in advance, especially if the sites are open!! And was informed that they will be going all seasonal only ,in a couple of years. So no more in and out campers!!

Such a shame. And , agree that with the rates they charge, the bathrooms are still the same with no improvements. Also a lot of the rules and regulations are not enforced. The grass in our site was not cut when we arrived but they started cutting all the sites around ours just as we were arriving, around 2pm on a Thursday and never offered to cut around our site. Ridiculous! Poor planning for a holiday weekend. And agree that they are over run with skunks, too!

Nice, quiet place that has a lot of amenities to enjoy for all ages :) there is good local food to eat too if you're ever too lazy to cook. Sites are spacious enough just need to be careful with some hanging trees.

I want to thank Drew, Joe, Dennis and Spencer for a great job they did the other day. I had asked Drew if they could move my shed and without hesitation he said his team would be able to do it. When they arrived at the designated time they were professional, effective and efficient and most importantly the preformed the job safely. They took the time to make sure we were happy with the job and answered all of our questions. Sun Retreat Avalon needs to hold on to this crew as they make this place shine.

Thank you gentlemen as your help was greatly appreciated.
