Gonna give Big Lake Wilderness Lodge a review before I even leave in 5 days! Chuck and Cheryl are the best and treat us like family every year!! Can't wait to see you both again and also Jed! We are bringing our dog Remi this year to meet him and also our dog sitter being my mother while Gretchen and I do are annual day portage's!!! This place is highly recommend by us and will continue to book this trip year after year. See you all next weekend!!
Can't say enough about the overall hospitality of the owners. Incredibly friendly people and very helpful and accommodating. The price for a Saturday-Saturday cabin rental with a boat was very reasonable as well. Our cabin appeared newly renovated and was very nice, especially compared to some other MN fishing resorts we have stayed at. Cheryl and Chuck were also great in telling us where the fish were biting, and after the weather cleared up we had some pretty good luck pulling in some Walleye. Definitely recommended!
Ely is my favorite place to go for vacation, and there is no better place to stay than Big Lake Wilderness Lodge. The way Chuck and Cheryl go out of their way to make sure your stay is second to none. They have always made our vacations very special and this last time was more than we asked for. I just want to thank two so much for my family's stay. Take care and see you soon. Your friend Brent Hatch
The big lake wilderness Lodge is on a very beautiful lake. The owners, Chuck and Cheryl are very nice to communicate with and work with. If you have any questions or issues. They help make the experience to be enjoyable. One. There are plenty of activities to do there fishing, kayaking and canoeing, paddle boards, paddle boats just to name a few. Few. They're also are great lakes to fish on around there and excellent hikes. Would definitely recommend!
