From jct Hwy 20 & Hwy 395: Go 25 mi E on Hwy 20.
beautiful location. staff was nice, but grounds need maintenance. pit toilets smelled horrible, and port-a-potties need emptying. logs and rocks oddly placed that make it difficult to park bigger rigs. online map not drawn to scale. price was good.
Please do not rely on reviews on this property.
I believe at one time it must have been a wonderful place.
However, now it is extremely run down and in need of serious rehab.
It's on a beautiful lake in a gorgeous area.
The resort is absolutely in a total state of disrepair.
The camping areas have not been graded, the Porta potties are beyond the level that is hygenically safe, and the cabins are absolutely filthy.
I understand finances are often an issue in regards to maintenance. However, the repairs that would bring this property to an acceptable level are not astronomically expensive.
There were four families that were in our group.
Many conversations we had gravitated towards why does the management not at least make an effort.
I cannot recommend this resort to anyone.
I understand and appreciate rustic, but the level of decay at this resort makes it a poor choice for a worry free vacation, especially with children.
I hope the owner will take this and the other recent reviews as a call to action.
He has a great property , but it desperately needs CPR.
My family and I have came to see you guys 3 times this year. Every single time we had an absolute blast. The food in the restaurant was awesome, we LOVE all the trails around.. the owners are always awesome & welcoming. The only thing I would recommend is someone to clean the showers more often. Other than that thank you for a great camping trip!!! See you guys next year!
We spent the night in one of the cabins at beaver lodge, very happy with cabin. it had a wood stove witch kept the cabin warm, it has a rustic charm to it ,brings back old memories of the way life used to be.Very happy with the food and service was great at the restaurant. Thanks for for the memories.
For what the resort is, its great! It is a rustic stay, no doubt about that, and there are absolutely some needed improvements. But, it's an affordable stay in a beautiful, disconnected-from-the-busy-world location ran by great people. There is something so refreshing about a weekend of existing super simply without cell phones or notifications.
We so appreciate Beaver Lodge and hope to be able to stay for years to come!
