Do not go here!

Okay so I took my time and did more research before I gave this terrible rating. 12 of us rented cabins this weekend. We reserved these quite a bit in advance.

I remember reading the descriptions of the deluxe cabins because the other bigger cabins were already rented.

I reread them today to make sure I wasn't crazy. The rest of our family was up there before we got up there. First. Big disappointment. The " kitchenette" in the biggest cabins was not available so they gave him the other one. Which included a refrigerator. Not even a microwave. Nothing. Not even a coffee pot. That's pretty disappointing but it gets worse. There's no bathroom in the cabins. None. Not even a toilet.

We get to ours that's supposed to " sleep four comfortably"

I'm 60. My mother's 83. My 80-year-old aunt and uncle were supposed to come but they got sick. Thank goodness they didn't come. I knew this was supposed to be either a queen or a double bed and a set of bunk beds. Figured I'd sleep on top mom on the bottom they could have the bed. We were also supposed to have a kitchenette I thought. We had a refrigerator and a microwave! And we had a toilet. There was no heat in the cabin. NO HEAT!

They say linens are included. Don't let that fool you. No wash cloth no towels, no soap nothing! No coffee maker. Luckily I brought my own because I know how small hotels can be sometimes gross coffee pots. My mom's bed was a double. It was not a mattress. It was some kind of a strange cot. It was like a big baby crib mattress. It was horrible. She absolutely could not sleep. She was freezing too . Of course there were no extra blankets . She did take the blanket off of the extra bunk bed and that helped . I've never been in jail or prison but I can say I have slept on a prison mattress. It was a little plastic cot thing about 3 in thick. Absolutely miserable. And good thing I'm a fairly small person. When I laid down flat and put my arms to the side, both elbows were touching both sides. I thought maybe my family members who chose this place did it because it was cheaper. But I have now done research and I see at least five other cabins that are normal. What you would expect actually much better than you would expect for around the same price!

I wasn't going to leave a comment because this is new ownership but it is just too many things that were so terrible. Unbelievable!!

Visited this campground 3rd time in 4 years, coming from Chicago.

Always in a tent.

It offers hot showers, laundry, drinking water, clean washrooms, coffee, very friendly staff, in the close proximity of the Collegiate Peaks and Buena Vista.

I will definitely be back.

I do not understand how some people do complain about a 1$ for 6 min shower.

They have great amenities for families and kids.

This place was great! My family was there for the long weekend and no one wanted to go home! We had a yurt, an RV site, a tent site, and the Casita (an awesome old RV that has been docked in site and has a real toilet and running water/ac, all the things!).

The kids played at the playground constantly (there were balls, cornhole, horseshoes, frisbees), the dogs enjoyed the huge fenced dog area, the bathrooms were clean, and the staff was really kind and helpful. And it's in SUCH a beautiful location.

There is some highway noise, but bring a noise machine or ear plugs and you'll have an awesome time. This place was great!

Excellent little campground. Clean and tidy. Spots are a little small (with a 32-foot fifth wheel) but well adequate. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The wifi was strong and sufficient for phone calls and videos.

The water was clean and tasted great.

The dump wells were well flowing, and we had no issues with them.

We did not use the metered showers, but they looked well maintained and clean.

The staff is nice but we had been told by the management that we would get our deposit from the year before applied to our stay this summer since we were unable to attend our booking last summer. They played along and made it sound like they would apply it without a hitch. Yet, when we arrived this summer, they quickly changed their tune and acted as if they'd never heard of the things they had told us previously. The manager was an absolute rude jerk about it all. I will NEVER stay here again. Comparatively, there are much better campgrounds in the area. This one is very disorganized. The bathrooms are disgusting and smell even worse. They do not have the dump station open at the campground nor do they have it posted anywhere so you don't know until you go to leave or dump your sewer tank. Then you have to travel several miles down the road to dump your waste. All in all, I love the area and i will continue to stay at other campgrounds but I wanted to get the word out that this is not a good one to stay at in so many ways.
