So if you a thinking Westin this is not it and no flamingos out of towels either with rose paddles LOL. These are cabins in the woods, on the lake and very rustic and I mean very rustic. I think that's the charm of the place. I have seen plenty needing some major TLC and also I have seen a ton of improvements, I think it is work in progress. The owners go all day non stop, they both are everywhere doing whatever it needs to be done, impressive. Food in the restaurant was great, vey tasty and well prepared, very much worth couple of visits. The bar was lively and served some great drinks. Our cabin the Minnow had no AC, but we were not there to sit in the cabin, the nights were very cool so we reversed the fan in the window to get some cool air inside. Mid summer fishing sucked in a big way, so keep that in mind if catching lots of fish is your only focus. The service in general was very friendly and helpful, especially the dock hand. The area in general offers some interesting things, so get in the car and explore , we donated one day to do that. This property is not for everyone, so make sure you understand your needs before you go and end up whining on the web about what they don't have. We would return to the Minnow but perhaps in spring or fall when fishing is better.

We had a wonderful stay at Arrowhead. We spent a night in one of the lodge rooms and rented a boat for a couple nights of camping in Voyageurs National Park. We couldn’t have asked for better service. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the deck had beautiful views. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helped give us directions and advice for our camping trip. They’ve got a good thing going!

Stayed at wooden frog campground and stopped for dinner our last night. Place is great. Everyone super friendly and the food was great. I had walleye tacos with onion strings and my husband had walleye finger basket. Very good and the view was gorgeous.

Stayed at Arrowhead Lodge in sept for girls trip in hopes of seeing the northern lights. We were not disappointed and from the lodge deck and down on the beach got a Fabulous light show. Loved the lodge and Mike and Becky were terrific and so helpful to us as we were planning excursions, Dinner at the lodge was great and our first cheese curds were delicious! Our second night there we were treated to three hungry otters on the boat dock partying the night away with their found fish. Drove up to Canada one day-only - about a 45 minute drive and toured around Fort Frances, which was a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this lodge.

Love this place. My father rebuilt the stone fireplace years ago. I have been coming here for years and will continue. Great service owners are invested in upgrading and expanding. The menu is on point, as well as the quality of food that comes out of the kitchen. Blackened walleye is in my top 3 I have had from coast to coast. Seasoning was done perfectly.
