Fantastic! Quiet and still open, even during these times. No facilities. I arrived at night so I didn't get the chance to look around, but there seemed to be a few areas that could be used to set up tents. Neighbors are within vision, but there's enough trees and bushes to create the illusion of privacy. The only issue is that the road is a bit sandy and has some pretty rough spots, so you may get stuck with a low sedan.
A nice campground in the middle of nowhere. There are no facilities but plenty of privacy. It's very isolated so make sure you bring everything you need.
Dispersed area open as of 24JUL20. “Upper Peppermint Falls Campground” was closed. Road & trail to creek blocked, posted dangerous trees. Definitely a lot of down timber in the area. Somebody’s been working hard lots of fresh cuts clearing roads.
Very dirty/trashed due to visitors that have no forest/wilderness etiquette or experience.
Most visitors are there to party and not enjoy the peace and quiet. Broken glass is present almost everywhere you walk including along the creek. Trash from fishing supplies litters the bank of the creek. For those of you who have been there, tell me I’m wrong.
