My stay was semi-enjoyable our camp ground was not enjoyable, the bees were probably the worst part I couldn’t even eat or stand outside during the day without being swarmed or nearly stung,When we brought this up to staff they did nothing we had asked multiple times for help with bees before they gave us a small rope and a bee trap. The golf course was half broken and had many parts torn up or out of use. Nothing in the campground was handicap accessible which caused some difficulty’s. The staff was very rude anytime we needed help. I would also like to bring up the fact that all the fire pits were in a dip and one of my family members almost rolled an ankle and fell in the fire. I wouldn’t recommend coming to this campground it was a very unpleasant stay.
Bees are bad. These guys have a tree in spot 17 that is totally filled with wasps. I've seen hundreds come out of the sap filled tree.there is a nest inside the tree. Soooo instead of just taking the tree out...they allow their gusts to be stung.the overall experience was rife with poor service in the office. They seem to really dislike folks overall. Kinda reminded me of a jr. High setting with employees bitching about guests in earshot of campers. I WILL NEVER RETURN AND URGE OTHERS TO RECONSIDER FUTURE KOA VISITS AT THIS SITE.
Absolutely do not rent here. Not transparent about additional charges related to rental. Charged a recovery fee when there was no work done on there part to recover the vehicle. Extremely smug about explaining it. Parting words from them were “you can always get your own sled”. Definitely will not be returning nor recommending to others.
