Probably one of the best state park campgrounds we have stayed at. The sites were very well appointed, level and large. We were in site 112 which was a perfect location with unobstructed (Apart from a few trees) lake views. Whilst you are here, and if you are able bodied take a walk up Steamboat Rock. Wear good walking boots though as some parts are more climbing than walking!

The lake area was relatively shallow and went out a long way near our site, perfect for a morning swim.

Great KOA within easy reach of Leavenworth. You can use the free shuttle bus (route 22) which stops about a 3 minute walk from the KOA to get into town, otherwise it's about a 15 minute walk. The KOA was great, we stayed in site 17 which was about as far into the park as you could get, but this site afforded maximum privacy! We enjoyed the area so much we added on an extra night.
