Located along Maryland’s western scenic foothills, Yogi Bear Campground MD, offers an unforgettable camping experience the whole family will enjoy. Situated just down the road from historic landmarks such as the Antietam National Battlefield and breathtaking scenery along the Appalachian Trail, Jellystone Park™ Williamsport is the perfect “home-base” for those wanting to explore the area. When our campers aren’t busy swimming and splashing at Yogi Bear’s Water Zone, zooming down our 400-foot water slides or testing their skills at the ninja course, they can enjoy our 18-hole mini golf course, jumping pillow, lazer tag, and so much more!
We were in Boo-Boos bungalow. 2 bedroom cabin with a loft. The cabin offered a picnic table, charcoal grill, and picnic table outside your porch. Inside the cabin was clean, spacious with a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom. You will need to bring linens and pillows and grill utensils. However you can also rent liens at the campsite. They can be added when you book your reservation. It’s a little chilly in the winter time. Bring a small heater if you’re cold natured but the cabin has a ductless unit in the living room. I look forward to staying in the summer to get the full experience of the cabana’s and pool areas.
The first night in our cabin the temp dropped below freezing, and we figured out way too late our cabin thermostat was broken so we didn’t have heat. It was absolutely miserable and we considered leaving. We were one of only three cabins rented it looked like and there was no one available to help. For the second night maintenance couldn’t get the pilot light to stay on so they gave us a tiny space heater from the front desk, so night two was marginally better. Unfortunately the website times of activities and everything were all wrong. The camp store was closed for our entire visit and there were zero activities available- paid, free, or otherwise. We could use the playground, jumping pillow, and mini golf- there were zero other options. Even the arcade stayed padlocked all three days. It was our third experience at a Jellystone, and I don’t think we’ll be back, overall it was kind of disappointing. The front desk staff were really nice though.
We absolutely loved going Glamping is what people are calling it because you sleep in a cabin and have full bathrooms if you would like. We have stayed there a couple of times, our first time was with friends in their RV and then the second time we rented a cabin. We stayed during their Halloween event and had such an amazing time that we are thinking about renting one of their bigger cabins so we could deck it all out for Halloween and all friends be together. Would highly recommend staying here as they have a lot to offer families.
We’ve been to this location multiple times - starting when my kids were like 2 and 3 to 12 and 13. They really enjoy it - and I like there are activities for the different age levels. We really like the addition of the lazy river and the VR room. My sons loved the foam pit in the Gaga ball area too. We also enjoyed going Thanksgiving weekend - a different vibe, but still really fun.
Our 4 & 6 year old boys had a lot of fun here, even though it rained a lot. Glad we had a cabin. The staff are very friendly and do a great job of keeping the place clean and family focused. I was particularly impressed with how consistently clean and well kept the bathrooms were. Never seen a campground that could manage that
