Beautiful place to spend the day. Needs a facelift with benches picnic area and sun shelters. The beach ⛱️ was nice and the boat area was easy access
Be aware thaf GPS Directions can take you to a different entrance to the park and that it will take you another 20 minutes to go around to the Main Entrance. For whatever reason, the park did not have the gate open, so had to travel around going into New York and back into New Jersey to get to the main entrance. The roads leading into the park are aweful, full of gravel and pot holes. They are in desperate need of some attention. The Lake that I was swimming in was badly full of weeds everywhere that would wrap around your body. The trails that I did use were very muddy, so make sure you have proper foot wear. But that's to be expected on any trail. Place seemed to be very popular with large crowds present. So they are doing something right. Compared to other parks I have been to and experienced, this is middle of the road.
Beautiful state park. Spent Sunday My daughter grilled chicken and pork chops. Very peaceful. Dog friendly. Family oriented.
This park 🏞️ is great to go and spend your day with family, friend and kids. It was not overcrowded it has picnic tables and grills, but you can bring your own grill. There is also a lake where you can swim.
Beautiful State Park. Great hiking with a gorgeous lake view. Also, really fun to take your mountain bike and explore the trails. Lots of people enjoying a picnic, kayaking, grilling, camping, walking around with their dogs (must be leashed). Tons of space for really anything you want to do outdoors!
