From Cass Lake, MN, take US Rt. 2 east 3.7 miles to Norway Beach Recreation Area sign. Turn left and go 1.2 miles to campground sign. Turn left into campground.
Well it was my first time going there in years, we had our employee Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe picnic there. And it was nice, my children had fun swimming in the lake! Their beach area is a little small but it is a nice swimming area! Nice picnic area as well! I recommend it for families, and it's a campground as well I don't have much information about that though.
One of four Beautiful campgrounds, tall pines for shade and makes somewhat private. Great for group/family get togethers. Has showers and bathrooms. Long bike/walking trails. Nice long sandy beach. Will definitely be back. No electricity tho, bring your generator.
Camp site was amazing, but I do have a couple issues though. Issue one isn't a huge deal, but it's a little confusing trying to reserve a camp site. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the fact that the bathroom facilities are DISGUSTING. We had a site near one of the bathrooms (probably 50 yards away) and you could smell it from there. That was the only bad spot of the weekend though. Loved the campground and the lake.
For some reason the showers aren't working. Great campsites, some are secluded and large some smaller and open. Lots of wood laying around to cut.
Beautiful, peaceful campground with great accessible campsites. The campground host is so kind and friendly, the bathrooms and shower rooms are nice and clean (though there is only 2 separate showers per gender in the campground), and there's some truly picturesque private-ish beaches scattered along the hiking trail, around Cass Lake. The main trail is paved and mellow. The road into the campground is paved as well. I have fallen in love with Norway Beach and spend multiple weekends camping here.
