Great campground that offers nice shaded picnic areas for each campsite. Wonderful views and clean bathrooms. My only complaint and reason why it got 4 stars is that no info on storm shelters or emergency action plan was given for severe weather for tent campers. We got hit with a thunderstorm that popped up with 0% chance of rain in forecast. This storm had 50mph wind gusts and hail and wrecked our tent. We had no clue where we were suppose to go in weather like that and sat in our truck, wind rocking it back and forth. Maybe put on the map of site what people should do in case of extreme severe weather.

The check-in process was easy and fast for camping. We were assigned a campsite when we checked-in and luckily we were in an outer site for tents. Note that RVs and campers park on the outer edge of the campground while tents are located towards the center. Each campsite had a nice shelter cover and a table so you're able to put things on there. The bathroom facilities were okay, not too good but we've all seen worse. The Cedar Pass office is located not too far from the campground, but you'll likely just buy souvenirs there. There is also a cafe there, but the food was not good. You're better off cooking your own food in your camper or at the campsite. Overall, you'll enjoy this experience at this campground and its easily located next to the eastern edge of the Badlands.
