This is a beautiful area and we enjoyed our stay at site #26. It looked down on the San Lorenzo River. My only negative comment is some sites are REALLY small and some W/S/E are oddy placed (i .e. not in the center) We reserved site #45 and went back to change once we pulled in because there was a giant stump that didn't allow us to position correctly. Luckily, we could change. We watched a few people really struggle to get in their sites. Seems like the owners were trying to make a campsite in every nook and cranny. Overall, I would come back since I wrote down the spaces NOT to reserve.
Never reach this place without a reservation. People there are really hostile if you do that. Differently from many other campgrounds we've stayed in the US, which show the guests the open spots in the office for you to choose when you arrive late, they don't allow late check ins. We've stayed overnight as an emergency measure, because we had an issue with the RV and there was no other place to go and we have been treated as trash the other day, when we came to the office for paying our stay (which was very expensive BTW). That's completely nonsense, as there were lots of empty spots for parking the RV.
These guys are amazing! Seriously huge shout-out to Ann and Hilary in the office, incredible customer service, serious follow-up, wonderful folks. We had an odd issue and these two worked for days to make it as good as possible for us.
Additionally, the campgrounds are very clean, have excellent amenities, are very beautiful, and are in a great location. We will be back as soon as we can!
Would have given this spot 5 stars but their customer service is terrible. Due to the heavy rain, we had a catastrophic failure of our awning. Went and talked to them to find out if they had a mobile guy they could recommend. They were minimally helpful. Told us we could keep our rig parked there a couple days until we could get it repaired because they weren't booked for the week but we'd have to pay full price. Which is fair. We opted not to do so and worked all morning to get the awning secured and rolled out of there 15 minutes late. We promptly got a charge for late checkout. Definitely don't recommend! And I will be sure and let everyone I know what crummy customer service we received and that this place is best avoided.
