San Diego Mountain Lodge is a beautiful escape to nature sprawled out over 40 acres of land on Hideout Mountain, a breathtaking spot in Santa Ysabel, CA. With a combination of offerings ranging from glamping in our vintage camper trailers, RV sites with full hookups, and campsites, to a luxury experience in our remodeled cabins each with a fireplace. Gather and share ideas with fellow guests at our community firepit and picnic tables.
What makes Hideout Mountain a magical place? The stunning views of Lake Henshaw and the valley and surrounding mountains, stretching as far as the eye can see. We also have a one-of-a-kind restaurant and bar on the property, Josie's Hideout Saloon. We are located just a few minutes drive away from downtown Santa Ysabel and Julian, with easy access off Hwy 76.
Gps will take you to Josie's Hideout, pass the restaurant and turn left at the fork and make an immediate left into the driveway with the sign "San Diego Mountain Lodge"
We were extremely satisfied from the moment we drove up to the property & then stepped foot onto the cozy, charming cabin. It was in a great, convenient location which was very easy to find, fully-equipped, they even had shampoo, conditioner & body wash. The bed was beyond comfortable but I have to say our most favorite thing was the breathtaking views! We will definitely be coming back.
We loved our stay at SD Mountain Lodge! My boyfriend and I booked a stay at the Zen Den (#9) cabin with our German shepherd. Admittedly, it was tight quarters for the 3 of us but it was perfect for the two days that we stayed. The cabin was very clean and was stocked all the cooking supplies/utensils we needed!
Upon check out, we had a conversation with Ray who was part of the team that was expanding and remodeling the property. He was very friendly and made us excited to return. We can’t wait to come back and see all the new development to the property!
My husband and I planned a quick getaway to San Diego Mountain Lodge. We truly enjoyed our stay. We got a free upgrade to a cabin because our RV was unavailable. The staff was very kind, thorough, and checked on us to make sure our stay went well. We really enjoyed the extra space especially with our 17 month old roaming around nonstop. The cabin was clean, with modern finishings, and it provided everything we needed for a cozy night in. We definitely plan on coming back!
We have stayed here several times & always love our stay! The Cabin is clean & stocked & the staff is very nice! A beautiful location and such a wonderful getaway! Also like to visit Josies Hideout while we’re here too!! Definitely will be back again & again !!!
The place is amazing! Pastoral view, the room is very comfortable and clean. The modern fireplace heats the room perfectly. The staff is excellent and helpful. Far exceeds the pictures and expectations. An extraordinary experience and highly recommended
