From west jct I-44 & I-40: Go 3 mi W on I-40 (exit 143), then 800 feet S on Rockwell Rd.
Do yourself a favor and keep on moving past this place. Not sure where any of the positive reviews came from honestly but you had us fooled.
I guess the stealing reward sign and the cop car posted out front should have been our first red flag. Or maybe even the people directly outside of the RV park in tents… let’s just say they weren’t camping.
Our site was easy to pull through- I will give them that, but it went down hill pretty fast. As soon as we hopped out of the truck we stepped right into several patches of stickers- there’s no avoiding them. There’s not a single patch of grass in the entire park that does not have them. Good luck if you have pets- you have to pluck stickers out of their fur/paws every single time you step outside. (I get it, it’s a southern thing… but still there are options to spray to get rid of them). Anyway, we kept looking past the negatives, got set up, then went inside to cool off.
About 30 minutes later we decided to take our dogs for a walk and were greeted by hundreds of fire ants crawling up our RV stairs and stabilizers. A trip to Home Depot and $45 later we had everything necessary to solve the fire ant issue all around our site and even our neighbors before they managed to get into the RV. (You’re welcome).
Long story short, this place is gross and the upkeep is extremely poor. It smells like trash, gas, and weed at any given time when you walk outside. There has been one vehicle consistently driving around making multiple stops at various RV sites for deliveries, if you will, and let’s just say it wasn’t door dash. There’s also random people in their cars and on foot cruising down each aisle at random hours of the night- it’s creepy.
There’s just an overall unsafe feeling about this place. You definitely don’t get what you pay for here, it’s basically a run down trailer park. If you value safety for your self, your family, your pets, and your belongings; enjoy a clean place to stay; and don’t enjoy seeing starved buffalo - pass this place and don’t look back.
It’s not a bad place, but I’m not sure it’s worth $40-60 a night either. The indoor pool and hot tub are nice and clean. The site was just a gravel lot, the breaker could not handle running 3 ACs, could only run two before it tripped. The big negative was the smell of Marijuana pervading the park from the permanent residents. The smell was emanating from the permanents right across the street from the office which was not a nice welcome. Whole park smelled dank and dirty. It’s not bad, but I would probably try somewhere else the next time I am in OKC.
Good place to stop traveling the I-40. Nice heated indoor pool to relax my muscles after driving all day. It is a little chaotic, seems like people do what they want but nice for the night.
Morning staff Shelby was very nice. Was very quiet and friendly. Pool was warm but hot tub was very hot. It was so nice n they have changed in the last 5 years. I will be coming back
I stayed here in October 2023 and overall had a good experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I like the location (was easy to get to the highway) and close to shopping. The only bad thing is the sewer at my campsite was very slow to drain and backed up a few times. The internet worked fine and you have to get a WiFi code based on the number of days you’re staying there. I would entertain staying here again if ever in the area.
