This trail is beautiful! We went beginning of July and there were tons of purple flowers. One meadow was a huge carpet of purple! It's more of a rolling trail so seems good for a casual hike. You can loop with some of the other trails in the area or just got as far as you want and turn back. There isn't a ton of parking but we've not had a problem as there's usual not many others on the trail.
