We had such a wonderful experience!! It was our first time and I feel like we have been missing out! There was so much wildlife! It was our 2nd time in our pop-camper and I'm usually a tent lover so I was worried about losing that connection to nature but no, not at all. The night sky and sunrise was absolutely magical!!!! It was one of the hottest days of summer but the water made it perfect!! We are trying out the tent sites next. I can't wait to get out there again. We were in the Live Oak North section. Bathrooms and shower were kept clean and tidy. We've camped all over Oklahoma and I highly recommend this park.

It's one of my favorite places so far. Small little mountain range in the middle of nowhere. The park is very nice with decent bathrooms and clean camp grounds.

We had an RV and stayed in the mountain view area. Looked to me like this is the best spots in the park. Camping spots are very close together, more than normal, but still a great area.

Deer are everywhere through the park. Lots of trails and a nice lodge up the mountain if you don't have an RV. There are also cabins to rent throughout the park.

If you have dogs, be careful, there's stickers all over the grassy areas. Also, I had a great view of the solar eclipse. All and all, a nice place.

Beautiful state park, so different from my part of the state. Lots of great hiking and wonderful views. All the facilities I've checked out have been excellent. There are some hiking trails that could be marked better but I was told they are working on that. The lake was very low when I was there I'm October of 2023. There is a nice fishing dock by the campgrounds, but with the water so low I'm not sure how good the fishing is there, I certainly didn't get any bites lol.

We went when it was around 40° and rainy but still found a way to have a great time. The lodge staff recommended the cave trail (very short) then we continued to the sunrise trail. If you like hiking and being able to stop and climb the rocks, you'll love this place. My only gripe would be the entrance to the park doesn't have the best curb appeal. There's an abandoned amusement park and several buildings in disrepair. It would be great if some of the old structures could be torn down.
