Bring bug spray if it rained recently.
Lots of cool fungi after rain showers!
Watch for little toads near paths, this is their house please respect their personal space.
Wine berry bushes along both trails makes for a sweet snack(late June-August.)
Blue to orange towards the reservoir is a short, easy, pretty, walk with nice spots to sit by the water, shade and breeze help keep cool on hot days.
Tripod rock is a harder, up hill hike but worth it to see the Weird NJ attraction.
First time here. Not that easy hike with all leaf on the ground. Quite sleepily of the walk but still enjoying the hikes 👋💪🏼👍
Really nice hike. A bit challenging up the hill, so be prepared. Make sure to bring water for you and your pets.
The parking is a bit small, but you can park on the side of the road in the designated areas
Parking is tight, and saw some illiterate's parking on the road, but it was a Sunday afternoon in Autumn. There are a couple different trails, I walked to the Tripod Rock. Map said it would take 2.5 hrs, It took me 1.25 hrs, to do the loop, and the trail was easily visible. Lots of rocks, on trail. Leave no trace....
Such a fun hiking trail. Everything is really well marked. People also bring their dogs but it’s not a super busy place. The views are excellent and there are at Paul lookout points. There are easy trails and what I felt were more difficult as well. Just be immersed in nature.
