Pack in, Pack out. First come, first served. Call the Wild Rivers Ranger District at 541-592-4000 for information and current fire restrictions.

Directions

From Grants Pass, OR, travel south on US Highway 199 (Redwood Highway) towards Selma, OR. In Selma, OR, turn right onto Illinois River Road (County Road 5070 / Forest Road 4103). Continue on Forest Road 4103 until its end, as it generally follows the Illinois River road on the left-hand side of the road. Briggs Creek Campground is located at the roads end, and at the trailhead for the Illinois River East Trail #1162.

Basic campground on the Illinois river, found some really interesting rock material when I was here last

The drive to the camp sight is rough. If you’re afraid of heights or if you do not have an off reading vehicle, consider another campsite. Very beautiful views once you get there, secluded.
