This is my favorite place on earth. My now deceased sister took me there when I was a little girl and I fell in love. Since then we’ve had birthday parties for our children, family reunions, and other events like fishing, hiking, camping ect. I use the showers there quite often as well. Until the recent change of hands everything was perfect.

Butterfield Stage”s “Boggy Depot” is now located in the nicely cleared southeastern entrance to the newly named “Chickasaw Park”, as shown in my recent photo.

Boggy Depot is a great Park. There are many historical signs that are very informative for both the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nation. This place has historical significance for the last 150 years. Very old cemetery. Great walking trails. Nice disc golf. The forest an the water are fabulous.

Always so peaceful and quiet, very clean and well maintained. No swimming in the lake, and no ATV's in the park. Plenty of walking trails, historic information post throughout the park, lots of deer and other wildlife. Excellent get away!

The history is makes this trip worth it. Read about this place before you come down! It's on the end of a back road that winds down to nowhere really. An absolutely beautiful little area. With campsites in the 100s at least, rv sites, disc golf 18 hole, pond for fishing (my bf caught a carp about 10 lbs!), walking trails, historic areas!!! Very cool spot!
