It was our first time here but definitely not our last. The river is perfect for kayaking and fishing. The spoonbill jumping out of the water right beside your kayak was cool. Highly recommend this spot.

This was a wonderful place!

What it lacks in Amenities it makes up for in peace and quiet! The gate keeper is super friendly and brought us fire wood! We put up our trail cam in different spots and saw lots of wildlife. The river is beautiful!

Down side: we never saw the camp host, and the bathrooms are not cleaned. Since there is no sewer hook up we took our showers in the bathouse and in 10 days it was never cleaned. Since it is winter not a lot of people are using it so wasn't nasty but definitely not clean. My husband and I cleaned our showers ourselves before we showered.

If you are looking for a place to unwind this is the place. I will be back!

So from the time we have spent there. The public restroom was out of toilet paper, ended up bringing my own roles and leave them in there for others. The showers had hair that clogged it, didn’t seem like they clean it. Went in there one time to shower in peace and was met with a lady staying in there. It was trashed the next morning. We sometimes show up late and we can’t help the truck is loud, but the site we have is paid for. The camp host was a real arrogant person. We have paid every night we have staying, and he states that we have not paid before. We live in the truck so it moves everywhere with us. When we go into town we pack everything up and take it with us. The day of our departure, we overslept and he came knocking asking if we were going to pay again. He leaves and turns back around and pulls into the campsite again to tell us that it was our 12 day and that we can’t stay after 16 days, but that’s only if it is permanently parked there in which it’s not. If the spot we normally take is taken we go to a different one with no issues and pay for that spot. He had called the park rangers on us for us not paying even when we have receipts to prove that we have. There is no reason to call them when your end is not working. The worst camp host by far!
