Take Highway 60 to Van Buren. In Van Buren, proceed along US60/Main Street to the National Park Service Office on Watercress Road; follow the black-topped road past the Office; making a left turn to the bottom of the hill, approximately 1/3 mile. Directions to the Pavilions: Sycamore Pavilion is located closest to the boat launch (on the approach into the area). Old Hickory is located more towards the north or up river nearer the camping areas.
The Camp is nice. Beautiful river. Unfortunately I was compelled to pick up trash left behind by others during my visit....
Nice helpful staff clean bathroom peaceful beautiful place nice horse and bicycle trails also good for hiking dog friendly
Lots of public picnic areas grill
The bathroom concrete was caved in, and trash bags were sitting on ground. Not very busy at this time. The view of the river was beautiful!
