This is tent and trailer camping with no services. There are locked and inaccessible buildings and cabins onsite and it only has vault toilets. No water, power, septic, or other services. What it does have is easy access for any vehicle from the highway and great drainage for rainwater in camp. The elevation is high so temps are great and the forest and meadows are gorgeous. It is very close to the clints well store and has station. If you like fishing, blue ridge is about 10 minutes away.
Visited for a group hammock hanging event. Plenty of trees and picnic tables for dispersion. Two pit toilets. Large central campfire ring. Easy access for cars, with only a couple washout areas that caused any concern...easy to negotiate if you are careful. Lots of wildlife, from birds and squirrels to elk and coyotes. A very nice place.
