New owners trying to turn it into a koa and are pretty money hungry. Camped all memorial weekend stayed past noon on Monday so paid $10 day use fee then got harrased at 3pm to leave so they could clean. Several times through the weekend heard how it's a business and they were there to make money and how much money they are spending to upgrade. Bragged about bathroom remodel but still no soap to wash your hands. This place was an annual family event for the holiday weekend. You have 5 sites that will never be back great start.
This was the WORST. We booked went there for 2 nights, we would have left the same day but there was nothing else close and it was a long way from where we came. We were expecting a resort. It was dreadful. There was toxic algae in the water so you couldn't even go swimming. The accommodations were less than rustic - just plain disgusting. The owner kept telling racist jokes and everything was way overpriced. The air was thick with smoke - they don't even warn you of the conditions before you drive all the way up there. PASS PASS PASS on this place.
(First post) Only downfall to the campground area were it was very dusty and large stumps where you try to park your trailer which makes it hard to maneuver around. Office lady was nice and helpful.
(Updated post now that it's a KOA) The stumps have been removed, some trees have been taken out to create easier access for trailer/RV parking, overall it has improved by a lot. Was 3 stars, now 5 stars.
I stayed at Lemolo Lake Resort last weekend with two friends and it was amazing! We stayed in Cabin #7 and it had everything we needed - two beds, a dining room table, a fridge and microwave, dishes, and a bathroom with a shower. It was a 2 minute walk to the lake where there is a beautiful waterfront and we went swimming several times. There was also nice trails and tons of great spots to put up my hammock!
They also have a great little store that has everything you could need. It's the perfect hidden gem just 45 minutes from Crater Lake, 30 minutes from Umpqua Hot Springs, and only 20 minutes from Diamond Lake's restaurant (including a great waterfront pizza place).
Jim and Anita are the new owners as of this year. Sadly we missed Anita but Jim gave us such a warm welcome and was very hospitable and friendly! He also gave us the restaurant recommendations I mentioned above. I can't wait to go back again!!
Shower details were lacking. 4 tokens for an 8 minute shower. I know we're saving water, but it takes a good 2 minutes just to drop the coins in and get ready to shower. The woods were beautiful. No smoke while the fire was blazing in another area. The lake is gorgeous. Didn't let us share our spot with our friends.
