Located south of Interstate I-64. Take Exit 4 (Griffin) and take SR 69 South approximately seven miles to the park entrance on Hwy 269. From South: Approximately 11 miles north of Mt. Vernon on Hwy 69. From East: Hwy 66 to Hwy 69, four miles south of New Harmony to Hwy 269.
Nice big level sites. Very clean and park staff has been excellent. There are lots of playgrounds and multiple bath houses. I would recommend this park for camping for sure!
This is an excellent park. The campgrounds are well maintained, the bathrooms are clean, and there are multiple hiking trails. The trailheads are a little hidden, but the park rangers are extremely helpful and will come up to you and ask if you'd like help. (Say yes, they are a wealth of knowledge).
We stayed in a family cabin on one of the coldest weekends and we were all comfortable. Great hiking trails and we plan to return in the spring.
