Great place to camp and affordable. Hiking trails of varying length and difficulty. We did the Angell loop and the blue loop ~2 miles each and involves stepping over trees and uphill & downhill slopes but easy and kid friendly. Beach area is small but clean.

People are complaining about mice. We didn't see a single mouse. Chipmunks yes..maybe people are confused?? Or possibly the mice problem was solved with the 11 inches of rain we got last week?? We were here two years ago and also didn’t see a single mouse.

This is a beautiful camp with awsome hiking trails and beach area. As for the staff they appear pleasant but don't seem to get anything done.If you want to take a hot shower a cold water shower is free, a hot shower was 75 cents for three minutes up to $1.50 for 6 minute. They have a bill changer in each of the bathrooms however they never fill then. We ask three different employees why they never fill them they each said they would tell the manager as it was his job. Not once in 5 days did they ever fill the change machines. Wost of all they place is infested with mice. After 4 or 5 in the afternoon the mice come out in 15 or more at anyone time. They climb on the picnic table, fire pit grill and even up the side of the tent. They come from all angles and make it difficult to eat and cook. We never left food or trash around locking food in car and trash directly to the dumpster. To bad as this camp could be a great campground if properly managed. But until then we won't be going back.

This is a great campsite that is perfect for the beginner or family campers.

There is a lovely lake that you can swim in and has lovely views. The fish in the lake are always happy to see you, and the water is warm and clear.

There are portaloos (port-a-potty) located throughout the site, but would recommend using the main bathrooms near the lake as these are regularly cleaned.

The showers have an adequate stream of water, but can get pricey if you want to get rid of all the dirt from long periods of camping.

Firewood was not able to be purchased on-site, but there were plenty of places nearby that you can get it from.

There are little rodents, such as mice and squirrels, but didn't cause any problems for us as we disposed of our food waste properly.

There are restaurants and places to shop within a 10 minute drive, and you can easily "survive" while camping here on external food alone.

There is a section of the campground near the lake that takes a long walk through a forest terrain which is more suited to traditional and more experienced campers.

All in all this is a wonderful campground and I would definitely stay here again!

We thought this place would be fun but we were wrong. Since the day we got here we have been harassed by the workers. I honestly feel this place does not like colored people to put it in nicer words. Quiet time is at 10pm and we been harassed since the time we woke up. First and last time we come here!!!!!!! Not happy and our kids feel the same way!!!

Family weekend that turned into a total harassment from the moment we got here. The worse weekend get away from the first night here. We gave them the benefit of the doubt but we were wrong. From telling us how to park all the way to telling us at 2pm that we were too loud. Our kids didn’t feel comfortable here either. We will not be returning here due to the main fact that as colored people we were the only ones being bothered. That itself says it all. Our time and money will be spent else where. Never again!!!!!!! Would not recommend it!!!!
