Beautiful location for all types of camping. Great place to make lots of memories with family and friends. The owners Lloyd and Jean are the nicest people you will meet.
This was our family's first camping trip and this was the perfect place and set up for us. Jean was the most amazing, friendly, helpful and kind person you'd want to encounter. My family absolutely adored her and she went above and beyond for us and our comfortability. Our site was awesome and we had the best time. Very family friendly and very reasonable as well. Our kids loved it so much they asked if we could move there and while that's not in the plans we will absolutely be planning a future trip back to Forest Lake Campground.
Pulled in to visit my buddy and the owner comes down screaming and swearing at me that I had to register and pay $10 to spend the night there and without giving me a chance to talk, kicked me out and said I could never come back or he would call the police and have me arrested for trespassing. Really unkind and unprofessional guy. Don’t camp here.
Place is complete trash. Worst roads ever around campground and if you don't stop everytime to let the owners know you're there they race after you and decide to scream and yell at you (literally scream and yell). These are suppose to be church going people but treat people like dirt. Hate to see how they treat their wives in their household behind closed doors. If I could give it a negative stars I would after listening to the owner scream and yell at women coming to visit their family.
Update: Now charging $5 PER PERSON NOT PER CAR just to visit for the day. I may only have left 5 reviews in my life but at least it's the truth and not some owner trying to inflate their GOOGLE review score 😅. Best part is they don't deny screaming at customers.
I visited friends way up top in the back and stayed there two years ago it was nice and quiet and they have very spacious sites compared to state run camp grounds. The lake is huge and I as a boy would have loved to fish that lake. The owners husband and wife team are very friendly. The guy that left a one-star review seems to have 5 reviews and he gave one stars to all but one. I give this place five stars for quiet retreat, forest bathing, swimming, and fishing. A campers delight.
