The newly-renovated campground offers sites with three-point hookups (water, electric and sewer), as well as four horse campsites without hookups. If you prefer a bed to a bedroll, stay in one of our yurts! These round stationary structures with canvas walls feature a single and double bed bunked together, a double bed-sized futon, an outdoor seating area, and outdoor deck.
Campgrounds at Cape Henlopen, Killens Pond, Lums Pond and Trap Pond State Park are open year-round. The Cottages at Indian River Marina are also open year-round, and the campground at Delaware Seashore State Park is open year-round, although during the winter months, it is open for self-contained units only.
The Division of Parks and Recreation has a Central Reservation Service. Although reservations are not required, we strongly recommend that you make one to ensure that accommodations are available. There is no additional expense to make a reservation.
Reservations can be placed for campgrounds, cabins, yurts, the Cottages at Indian River Marina, and Fort Delaware tours, and Killen's Pond Waterpark..

Nice area for a walk or a picnic. Plenty of trails and tables to pick from. The trails are long(divided into sections so you could take a long or short walk), but not difficult. The trails are not paved, but other than that, I would say almost anyone could walk them. They have bathrooms available. Nice little gift shop too. There are paddle boats available in the summer and camping all year round.
It was wonderful plenty of open space to take your 🐶 pup to the off leash area is outstanding. The park has a tone of stuff available to the entire family from horses 🐎 to boats camping 🏕 and even a tree top rope course with zip lines
I've been intending to visit Lums Pond for the Go Ape zip line / high ropes course for a while. Finally got a chance to visit and have no regrets! Definitely worth going the Extreme route if you're up to it - my arms were tired in a good way by the end - and don't miss the Tarzan swing on course 5.
The only thing that would have made this better is an additional course! We had great weather and no crowd, so we made it through the whole adventure in under two hours.
Snowed last night. Hiked along the trails, the scenery looked so great with the snow covering the trail and the trees. In the 30s, so not too cold out. Perfect!
Very nice clean park. We went in November just to do some hiking. They have much more to offer during summer months. Boat rentals, zip lining, campground. We paid $8.00 entrance fee. Lots of parking and restrooms. Well maintained. Would definitely go back.
