I would especially like to recognize Nicole at the front desk as exceptional with all of our needs! She is kind. Gracious and super friendly!
The stay was amazing! The soaking pond was next level amazing! The stars at night and the feeling of calm and solitude is everywhere! My sister and I stayed one night in Cabin C and the last night in Sage 1. I will bring my camper Van next time to save $$$ but overall it was a great experience. The shared kitchen and commons area are a great touch! All staffers take great care of the facilities. They are also pet friendly and love your pets! Can't wait to visit again next year🥰
I used to absolutely love this place… it’s not that I don’t like it anymore, but the changes they’ve made with remodeling and expanding aren’t necessarily upgrades (to my taste, anyway). The main pool has been completely re-vamped, and it looks good. But, the water isn’t as close to a natural hot spring anymore — the minerals are much less obvious, like the mineral water is mixed with plain ol’ water now… if the sulphuric smell bothers you, this will be a good thing. The executive suite was super nice, but the kitchen hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned, and I know this could really bother some people. I didn’t mind too much myself. I didn’t love that I had to walk into the office to get help since staff didn’t answer my calls from the room. However, they did bring us extra robes (i.e. we didn’t go without). We didn’t have a can opener in the room, and had to use a leather man tool to open one of our cans when cooking dinner — so, bring a can opener with you if you plan to cook. If you’re staying overnight, you’ll definitely want to cook — driving into Burns from here takes at least 20 minutes. If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth checking out, for sure.
We stayed in a cabin by the Hot Springs, and the room was very nice. We liked having our own little Christmas tree. The bathrooms were not too far away and we especially appreciated the new shower house. It is a rustic place with no restaurants nearby so you must bring the food you want to fix and utensils in the community kitchen. But we completely enjoyed our two nights there.
Made the detour to stop here when traveling from Twin Falls to Bend and it was well worth it. The setting in the high desert was beautiful and the facilities and service were excellent. The man made outdoor soaking area was spacious and clean and the adjoining Lobster Pot provided the opportunity to turn up the heat a bit.
