First time visiting Caney Creek and it was amazing. Paved RV spots, beautiful lake, quietest campground we have ever been too, and such friendly people. The views were spectacular. My 6 year old learned how to ride his bike without training wheels there. We will never forget caney creek! Hopefully we will be able to return soon!
New area sites not level, had to move. Slow to No wifi, No Verizon, very cramped. 90% of park is full-timers who have all the water front sites.
We’ve stayed here three times over the last several years, and just finished a trip. It’s always been a great experience for us, Mike at the front is super nice and the kind lady from maintenance even offered to lend us a heated hose when ours froze up. We stayed in the newer E loop which had beautiful views of the lake. There are a lot of permanent residents but it didn’t bother us one bit, and everyone we encountered was very friendly. We will definitely be back when the weather is warmer so we can enjoy the pool and canoes.
