Black River Hideaway Campground is a full hookup campground located in the beautiful Ozark mountains of Southeast Missouri. Our campground offers 25 full hookup campsites along with 4 , two bedroom nightly rental cabins. We are located about a 1/4 mile from the K bridge access on the crystal clear Black River. Our other amenities include a campground store wit shower house, hiking trails, a two acre stocked fishing lake, horseshoe pits, basketball court, and a sand volleyball court. Within short driving distance we have floating trips on Black River, Johnson shut-ins state park, Elephant Rocks state park, Blue Springs, and Clearwater Lake. Come see our beautiful views of the Ozarks and enjoy our refreshing rivers here in Southeast Missouri.
From the three way stop in Annapolis head west on highway K approximately 5 miles to Campground on the left. Watch for signs on Left.
Very nice, new place. I agree with the other reviewer it was a little like a parking lot but we all still enjoyed it. It’ll eventually be a little better when the trees grow up. Staff was very nice and helped our son with fishing. Would definitely recommend and will be back next year.
Our usual favorite campground was closed so we decided to give it a whirl. First of all, very clean and had very friendly, helpful staff. Creek, playground and little lake for the kids. Camp store and employees were nice. 5 stars on all that. I would've given it 5 across the board but it felt a little like a parking lot, not the camping type sites we're used to, and the smell of sewer was present our entire time. We'd stay again if we were in a pinch tho.
Love this hidden gem! We recently started kayaking the Black River and found this campground so close to access. Wonderful staff, clean, quiet campground and clean showerhouse. Couldn’t ask for any more from a campground. We’ll definitely be back for years to come 😊
It's a quite little place down by Black River that is just about as perfect as you can get, the care takers made us feel as comfortable as possible, 5 stars does not give them enough credit they deserve. Must experience it to believe it.
Ps, there is a great clean shower house and convince store.
