The fishing is pretty good. The boat ramp is really busy, watch the weather or you could be 35th in line to trailer your boat!
2nd time going there was hoping to reclaim the monster bass i lost the 1st time! No luck only 3dinks in the 12-15 protected slot limit;/ P.S. half the lake is only 2-6 ft length wise!
This is a great area, you can fish, boat, kayak and camp now that they have added the campground part. It is open for bow hunting during the archery portions of hunting season. If you go the the first pull off point you can hike a bit down to the dam and either fish or just enjoy the views. Very pretty views around this area, you can usually find some eagles hanging around with some of the eagles nest around
I went to do some birding and the birds showed up. Spring migration is a great time to come here for that purpose.
There is also a fishing dock, a boat ramp and a wing dike for fishing.
There are trails and a few campsites as well.
