Day Use only. There is an SST vault toilet, picnic tables, fire rings, and a boat launch that serves small to moderate size boats/trailers. There is also a grassy area and natural beach.
Located 16 miles from Kalispell. Take Highway 2 west out of Kalispell. Turn at Batavia School onto Ashley Lake Road #912. Take the northshore road and go 5 miles on #912, turn at the entrance sign
It's a very nice place to get away and have fun out on the lake
It's a looooong dirt road drive, but worth every bump! This lake is absolutely gorgeous and there's beauty everywhere!
Ashley lake is absolutely gorgeous. However, the boat ramp is total chaos. The road leading down to the ramp turns into traffic around LAX at about 9am. Everyone seems to lose their mind when deciding to park. Even those without boats seem to find a way to plug any turnaround or pull off point. Once the crowd is the there the single lane road turns into a .75 road and man oh man you better pray you don't go down as someone comes up. Just a heads up for boat launching, it's shallow so keep that trim trailered.
Beautiful lake to boat on there's no actual boat dock but you can get your boat in. We had a very enjoyable day on the lake. If you get the chance before winter and you love being on a beautiful blue clear lake take a trip up to Ashley lake, it's a gravel road all the way up but I guarantee you'll enjoy being there!!!
Ashley Lake is just plain beautiful! This trip was in the beginning of December and it was lightly snowing the whole time and about 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
Surrounded by great views of forest and mountain ranges this little lake is a peaceful piece of heaven. There's also quite a bit of coastline with some pretty properties to enjoy looking at as you float on by.
While the fish weren't too interested in the lures on this trip there are some gorgeous rainbow trout and large perch, among other species, in this lake.
Definitely a must see in the Flathead National Forest.
